I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus, but I’ve got things to share with you this week!

• Reading banned books! I like this story about a kid who started a banned books library out of his locker. A school that won’t let you read Animal Farm? Isn’t that required at most schools? Sounds more like a brainwashing factory than a school! Want to know what other books are being banned around the country? Check out ALA’s list of Frequently Challenged Books.
• Calling people on their BS. You know, I don’t have a lot of politics in common with Jesse Ventura, but I have even less in common with Elizabeth Hasselbeck, so I liked seeing Ventura give her some intellectual smackdown.
• Cows! I love ‘em. I think their sweet animals. So you know what I don’t like? Bullfighting! Did you know that parts of Spain are considering a ban? Awesome!
• Freedom! I’ve been reading a lot about alternatives to cubicle hell lately, here’s another view.
